Oh, I rather like that! Not perhaps 'enlightening' about your actual appearance, as self-protraits go ;) but I like the balance and weight to those curves, it's satisfying somehow.

Hey Francis, I tagged you for a book meme. If you don't care to participate no worries, if you've already been tagged, sorry.

Ciao Hanna. I definitely feel like I'm going to implode on occasion.

Hi Jen ... there's something about it that I find strangely reminiscent of my appearance, but it's definitely been abstracted. I'm glad you like it.

Hi Jane,
Thanks for the tag ... I'll definitely check it out. I think this blog could probably use some levity right now.

I LOVE this one. It's amazing. The color is terrific. It occurs to me that green is not what you usually choose. Maybe I need to go back through your drawings. As far as imploding goes, the space in the mask would prevent it. Perhaps they're a way for you to release...

Hi Kelly,
Thanks ... and you're right. I don't usually use so much green (there was one instance where I did a few weeks back), but it was my token nod to the holiday. I don't know that my drawings obey the usual laws of physics, so I won't rule out artistic implosion. As for the personal variety, I think it will only happen metaphorically.

The green color gives to this drawing a special and singular appearance, I like it . It shows a simply face, no complicated, do you feel your face is no complicated ?

Hi Fran,
I'm glad you like the drawing. I'm probably not the best judge of my own face, and the answer will depend on my mood. I'd say that I don't think it's as complicated as what lies behind it.

How did I miss this one?

Hi Cooper,
I think there may be some weirdness going on with Blogger ... the pings and feeds aren't updating properly, or so it seems when I check MyBlogLog, BlogCatalog, and Technorati. I should probably contemplate a switch to my own domain.

You have a way with color, shading and curves. I'm glad I came across you site. Your art is very inspiring.

I'm still learning, but with each drawing I have a better sense of what I like. I'm glad you stopped by too :).
