By Francis Scudellari
This face:
Familiar, yet
Unknown;
Blurred by distance,
Layered
Memory; lines
Smoothed out,
Smudged, then re-shaped;
Mute lips,
Eager eyes, morph
Harden;
Emptiness makes
New masks
To be shattered;
Vainly
Reassembling
A past
That never was
Always,
Only wished for

Excellent. Nicely done Francis.
Thanks again JD. It was actually quite a struggle. I tried writing something completely different, but it just didn't work out. Then, oddly enough, what it ended up becoming, fit perfectly with the drawing below. I hope you're doing well my friend.
I love this, Francis! I really like the image of layered memories.
Thanks Susan. I'm trying to get another one up soon, but I think I've gotten a bit rusty since I stopped writing every day.
