Some compromises we do

Straight-striving, a white
............. oak sapling bends
.................. (it pretends) willingly
..................... to the lapping of grey-
......................... hound gusts. It knows
............................... the musts of a thin-
................................ skin (if and when,
................. it can endure) will loosen
........... some with thickening. Then,
........ well, the strength comes
....,. to laugh at always
in the passing wind.

Bending. Pretending to do so willingly. Am I am sapling or a brittle and aged oak. I can no longer tell. Just kind of waiting to break...in a strong wind, or keep on playing Gumbi in the breeze.
