Illustrative strangeness

This cartoonish portrait was meant to illustrate the line "flopped gold curls mopping a wide pink brow" from Oranges for Three Loves. It obviously took a bit of a twisted turn, but I'm growing fond of these imaginary faces.

I like it! My mind is playing tricks on me and I am seeing male and female in one body. LOL.

Great job!

Is there a bit of orange peel in there, too?

By the way, the poems get more interesting each time I read them. You have a wonderful way with words.

@Zorlone There may be some androgynous elements to it... it's kind of hard to make out gender when the features get so twisted :).

@Jakill I may have squeezed some peel in there :). Thanks for the compliment. If I could just figure out how to make some money off it, I would be able to devote more time to my writing.

@Kim I like the juxtaposition of burning papers and blooming flowers... it's a good line for a poem.

@Julia I'm glad you like it, and I'd be happy to contribute more.

@Cooper I don't know that the comparison to my drawing would be very flattering to the man :).
