Warble

Her youthful warble
gobbled by ravenous years
fades to garbled hum

(for Poetwist's Twitter prompt: Warble)

Does anyone specialize in political poetry?? Just stopping in to let you know about a place; The United States of Earth: I discovered a network of people involved in the push to protect our Constitutional rights and to swear allegiance to our country and its citizens. Come fight the tyranny of tomorrow. http://www.usofearth.com/index.php

Love the senryu and how true. It changes day to day.

I'm a freelancer and volunteer at a writing center in Salt Lake City.

I love reading poetry, but don't feel I can write it too well. There have been a couple of pieces that just came to me out of the blue, and, miraculously were published locally.

But I envy those of you who can write poetry every day.

@Zephyr01 Thanks Deborah. I'll check it out shortly, although the blog has been meme-free for quite a while.

@USE There are plenty of political poets, and I try to deal with social issues sometimes if only in a very abstract way. I'm not much of a gamer, but thanks for the link.

@Poetic It's one of the advantages of being a writer... the "voice" doesn't diminish as quickly on paper :).

@MrWrite It really is a craft in many ways, and if you devote regular time to writing poetry, I think you'll find the ideas come much more frequently. I like doing the daily haiku prompts for that reason, they keep my mind exercised.
