Message in a bottle (the poem)

By Francis Scudellari

One lost, a-sea this eve,
In oddly imaged I,
Notions a waiting We,
Dreams other-existing …

Spirit swayed to eye land's
Bi-raised walls, cut-off With
Re-moat habited In
… My solitary keep

A-bridged message floats out
In bottled-up hoping
Two, seem-less simple words
Life re-leasing: "I'm here"

Thanks so much Marjie. I'm never sure if they'll make sense to anyone besides me.

Francis!
magnifico!

Hello Francis,
First let me say that I have been reading your work for a while now as I was recommended to your blog by JD, over at the Uneasy Supplicant. I truly enjoy your poetry and your fiction. As such, I am happy that you accepted our invitation to join the Society of Midnight wanderers. Both JD and I hope this emblem truly does become a symbol for those who wish to produce quality writing. It is my pleasure to read your posts here, and I welcome you to the Midnight wanderers. Thank you, Francis.

Hanna,
I think yours was much more visually interesting than mine ... and that's why I had to do a drawing of it as well. You're very logical, and I agree that today the world only helps those who help themselves. I tend to go against the prevailing wisdom though :).

Hi Mike,
I'm sorry I was a bit slow to get over to Mr. Grudge and thank you properly there. I'm very proud to display the badge and I'm hoping to put up a celebratory post on it soon. I love the idea of MW and look forward to sharing in the writing of some great folks like you and JD.

OK Francis
I will try for the third time to leave a comment. Blogger doesn't seem to like me today.

Wonderful poem. I really don't know how you're able to keep it up.
I will get to the Meme a little later if thats ok. I have a few more projects to accomplish but I promise to get to it. I will check Hanna's site for more in depth rules.

As for being part of The Society of Midnight Wanderers, if you are aware of any excellent writers who should belong then please invite them. I only ask is that you let ensure they are aware of the few rules and to let either Mike or I know so I can update the membership roll.

I'm looking forward to that commemorative poem :-)
Take care my friend!

JD,
It's more than ok ... take your time. I'm always a week or two late with my meme posts too. It's a spare time type of activity.

I've actually just dinged you about one possible invitee for MW, and I may forward others. My problem is that I'm a fan of a lot of sites and I don't want to inundate you with suggestions.

I'm hoping to have the poem up tomorrow.

That's why I trust your judgment. Feel free to invite as many as possible as long as they fit the criteria. Just make sure they understand what its all about and the rules ok? And if you could let me or Mike know so so we can update the membership roll. When I update Mike and I will be visiting those you have invited. I do not mind being inundated. :-)
Cheers my friend.
