Scary Bits

i.
Carousel whispers
build to a scream, blurring
gentle grins till ghoulish
with the swallowed-up
asking how to step off

ii.
Two hungry blades sweep.
Pared flesh spins off in pink curls,
leaving seedless cores.

iii.
When I moony howl
will you clench your jowls, affright
or will you yowl back?

These words spin like the carousel. Such dizzying horror. Especially love "moony howl".

@Avijeet Thanks... I think the first has the most fright potential :).

@Gerry A recent viewing of the remake of Wolfman inspired the howl.

i try to listen silently
so that i understand the cause...

I try to defy cause and effect, but the howl may be for howling sake.

there is always a cause
yet most of the time it's a raaz

(raaz) in persian: mystery

It could be a raaz why I howl, or it could be the raaz is why I howl.

>>will you yowl back?<<

I'll start in a whisper that builds to a scream.

Wait, I'm falling into a feedback vortex, don't worry, I'll be back ...

neat poem.

Yowl is the response I was looking for...
