Improbable transformation

This is a second drawing inspired by the dream that prodded me to write Trapped Ghost. It should also form the basis of a future poem, but that may take me a week or two.

You're gifted Francis,

At first glance, I didn't see anything but as I scrutinized it, I saw a face - with some contortions. Way to go, the abstoon.

I definitely see a face. I also a representation of The Shroud of Turin, or, possibly a mummy's wrappings.

I also detect what seems to be a third eye. Which I would assume could be representative of your very high intellect.

At first glance this appears to be a negative and frightening drawing. But, what I draw from it is possibly that you are questioning some some of your reasoning and possibly life time beliefs.

These are all positive. To me it seems as if you are using your third eye to envision some changes that may be coming your way.

As usual an excellent piece of work Francis and possibly one of the most revealing of your inner being that I have seen to this point.

Happy Valentines Day!:-)

I see 3 faces here, and all 3 seem to share a portion of the eyes. I see one that's similiar to the self portrait sketch... actually I think I see another face, it's all sort of weepy willowly, often seeing faces in the weepy willow tree emerge in and out here and there.

@Fran There's definitely a face... imagination can never go too far :).

@Jakill I wouldn't say flying, but definitely movement... or evolution.

@Dave I was going for plant-like, but the blues probably lend an underwater feel.

@Fran That's about right, but the thoughts are sprouting as new life.

@Jena I put the head at an angle, but if you focus on the whole, you should be able to make out eyes, nose and an ear. The mouth is obscured by a growth.

@Jackie You've definitely picked up on a lot of things. The drawing is inspired by a dream I had in which a man suddenly began to transform into a plant, the vines and leaves springing from his head. But although that initially might seem scary, the transformation was actually accompanied by a sense of enlightenment. The next step in an evolution.

@Ms.O.D. I only intended one face, but I'm sure there could be others hidden in there. I was definitely going for a weepy willowy look.

I see a fever dream. One where the person is not awake and not asleep, but unable to sleep and is having a kind of waking dream full of symbols and hallucinations.

@BC That's probably truer than you realize... The heat in my apt has been cranked so high that I've been waking up in a sweat a few times, which does have an impact on my dreams.
