“Power concedes nothing...“
a nothing we’ve taken when we give
it the power to demand
more from us. But what if
we refused it? What if
not a few of us, but all of us,
refused its demands, unmoved
by its roar,
or its thunder, not afraid
of its ocean or its rain?
No water, no matter
how violent,
can command the sand. It can
only displace a tiny fraction.
