There are also a lot more wasteful things we spend our money on that could be cut out first, but it's all a matter of priorities. If I were given a simple choice between another lunar landing and curing some disease, obviously I'd fund the latter.Francis Scudellarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01008685302028451297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31030337.post-29346328520261774512007-10-04T21:16:00.000-04:002007-10-04T21:16:00.000-04:00Flabby imaginations, indeed. I'm a steadfast believer.

But like Dave, I think we should figure out how to fix the serious issues here before spending tons of money on a possibility of something in another world.kellypeahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13266678780105919817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31030337.post-13037202807229645132007-10-04T10:00:00.000-04:002007-10-04T10:00:00.000-04:00I don't know that I see the need for manned explor...I don't know that I see the need for manned exploration right now, but I'm definitely in favor of continuing to send probes and other robotic devices to gather data from our solar system and beyond. The more we learn about the universe, the more we learn about ourselves, and the technology developed to create the devices for those explorations should have domestic applications. I would prefer more international cooperation on the efforts, rather than this silly competition that's developing.Francis Scudellarihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01008685302028451297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31030337.post-63691430195276526472007-10-04T07:25:00.000-04:002007-10-04T07:25:00.000-04:00I am not yet convinced that we should be leaving t...I am not yet convinced that we should be leaving this Earth.Dave J.https://www.blogger.com/profile/12875180376424695960noreply@blogger.com
